I understand that our customers and partners may have questions and concerns about our ability to conduct business effectively amid the global COVID-19 pandemic. I want to take this opportunity to update you on the measures we have taken to ensure that we both protect our employees’ health and safety while still being able to continue to provide a high level of service and responsiveness to our customers.
Our employees’ health and well being are extremely important to us. Early last week we cancelled all business travel and events, and recommended that any employees travelling internationally self isolate for 14 days upon their return. In addition, wIth social distancing being one of the most effective measures in stopping the spread of COVID-19, we have taken steps to ensure our team is able to work remotely without any loss of productivity. For individuals that still choose to work in our offices, we are abiding by the recommendations of the government and health officials here in Canada, including hygiene and social distancing measures.
From an operations perspective, our customers and partners will not notice any changes. Our various teams have been taking advantage of the ability to work remotely for several years now, and there has been no negative impact on our processes. Our sales and support teams already leverage modern cloud-based infrastructure and applications allowing them to work from any location with an internet connection. Additionally, our VoIP based phone systems allow the extension of our phone system to remote locations. We have an excellent IT team that is working very hard to ensure that these systems continue to perform smoothly throughout this difficult period.
