Vantage interfaces with FileCatalyst via an optional Vantage FileCatalyst service and workflow delivery action. Using the Vantage FileCatalyst action within a Vantage workflow enables the automated delivery of media and associated files directly to the specified FileCatalyst servers. FileCatalyst is able to accelerate the movement of files in any Vantage workflow that requires file transfers.

FileCatalyst is able to accelerate the movement of files in any Vantage workflow that requires file transfer, for example:

• Ingesting files from content creators/post production houses, transcoding and then delivering to post-production house/broadcasters
• Delivering transcoded files to a broadcaster running a FileCatalyst server
• Ingesting files from Amazon S3 and delivering to a post-production house

1. A FileCatalyst Hot Folder downloads a file from a FileCatalyst server from the user’s home directory, or folder within the user’s home directory, to a local folder on the same machine as Vantage, using temporary file names.
2. A Vantage watched folder watches for media files and associated metadata and the workflow executes.
3. Vantage passes the completed file to the FileCatalyst Direct delivery plugin which is configured to point to the FileCatalyst server.

Deliver transcoded files to a broadcaster running the FileCatalyst Server
