A large US government research foundation has deployed FileCatalyst
in the South Pole to optimize their 6- hour window of satellite visibility.
FileCatalyst's advanced user quota and bandwidth management features
allow this organization to distribute bandwidth fairly between all
of their scientists, while managing to push through up to 100 GB of
data in 6 hours. The entire process has been automated using FileCatalyst

Core Software Technology, a leader in geospatial data management,
has deployed FileCatalyst as part of the United States Air Force
Eagle Vision commercial satellite network. The US Air Force uses
4 mobile satellite ground stations called Eagle Vision (EV) for
geospatial processing. The processed data is transferred over a
satellite network to a central repository using FileCatalyst.
With its patent-pending file acceleration technology FileCatalyst
is immune to network impairments such as RTT and packet loss, ensuring
full line speed. Once the information is transferred, it’s then
made available through the web to trusted parties.
FileCatalyst technology adds reliability, acceleration and security
to the link between EVs and the central location. Without this reliability,
effective communications between the remote satellite ground station
and the central location would suffer from performance degradation.
