FileCatalyst® Webmail Editions
FileCatalyst® Webmail is packaged in two editions: Webmail Enterprise and Webmail Standard.. Webmail Standard offers the core functionality of transferring large files, but has no built-in acceleration. Instead the file transfers are achieved using regular FTP/Https connections. The Enterprise edition of Webmail supports FileCatalyst acceleration technology to make file transfers faster. Other key features supported in the two editions are shown below.
Server Requirements (for all editions)
• P4 3Ghz. 1GB RAM.
• 80 GB HD (For optional FTP Space).
• Operating system: Windows (NT, 2000, XP), Mac OS, UNIX, Linux.
• Servlet Container (recommended Tomcat 6.0)
• Access to SMTP server.
• Internet connectivity (necessary ports must be open on the Firewall.)
Client-Side Requirements (for all editions)
• Latest web browser
• Email client to receive emails (for recipient only).
• JVM installation (supported SUN JVM or MRJ). Java is needed to run acceleration applets.
• Internet connectivity.
