FileCatalyst® - Go for Gold

FileCatalyst is one of the fastest file acceleration technologies in the market today. It allows for accelerated point-to-point file transfers in less than perfect network conditions. FileCatalyst acceleration technology uses multiple features to yield exceptional transfer speeds. These features include:

  • FileCatalyst UDP-based protocol: a patent-pending UDP-based protocol that is faster in transferring large data sets when there is high latency or packet loss over the network
  • On-the-fly Compression: FileCatalyst compresses data in real time, meaning no time-consuming compression or decompression at the beginning or end of each transfer. File sizes may be reduced by 50% or more, creating virtual transfer speed that exceeds available bandwidth.
  • Multiple TCP Streaming: In situations where UDP is not possible, FileCatalyst can achieve some measure of acceleration by running transfers through multiple concurrent TCP streams, along with on-the-fly compression.
  • Delta Transfers: If a file has changed since its last transfer, FileCatalyst can send only the “deltas” (incremental differences) of the file, rather than resending it in its entirety.

FileCatalyst® Product Family

The FileCatalyst acceleration technology is packaged into three distinct product offerings as described below.

FileCatalyst Direct is used for accelerated point-to-point file transfers resulting in speed gains up to 100x faster than regular file transfers. Read more.
FileCatalyst Webmail enables users to send files of any size to anywhere using only the recipient's email address. Read more.
FileCatalyst Web Workflow allows enterprises to move files across their workflow and at the same time offer accelerated transfers for file submission. Read more.
